All Aluminium Conductor ( AAC) is made up of one or more strands of hard drawn 1350 aluminum alloy, which can be used as bare overhead conductor for distribution lines.
ACAR Conductor
Aluminium Conductor Alloy Reinforced (ACAR) is formed by concentrically stranded wires of aluminium 1350 on high strength Al-Ma-Si alloy core. The number of wires of aluminum1350 & aluminium alloy 6201depends on the cable design. ACAR has better mechanical and electrical properties as compared to an equivalent ACSR, AAC or AAAC, which extensively used in overhead transmission and distribution lines.
