MV Covered Aluminum Cables
The 15KV/25kV/35KV voltage class XLPE covered aluminum cable is constituted by a compact round conductor, composed by aluminum strands, blocked or not, and with a cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) covered in black or gray color, with special characteristics to be resistant against electric tracking and UV-rays. As XLPE is a thermoses material, it enables operation up to 90°C continuously implying in higher capacity when compared to the thermoplastic materials.
The main application for covered aluminum cables is on compact overhead, primary power distribution, medium-voltage networks located in urban and wooded areas. These cables are an excellent technical and economic option for companies all over the world, since they feature such advantages as low manufacturing cost and ease of installation.
